This private tour covers the main ancient and modern landmarks of Athens over approximately 5 hours. Your driver collects the group from any Athens hotel, address, or cruise terminal and stays with you throughout the day in a dedicated private vehicle.
The main stops are the Acropolis — the ancient fortified hill at the centre of the city — and the Parthenon, the 5th-century BCE Doric temple dedicated to Athena. From there, the tour continues to the New Acropolis Museum, which brings together sculptures and artifacts from the site in a purpose-built building directly below the hill.
Additional stops include the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), the all-marble stadium that hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896; Mount Lycabettus, the second-highest viewpoint in Athens; the Hellenic Parliament building at Syntagma Square; and the Evzone Changing of the Guard ceremony. The order and time at each site can be adjusted to suit the group's interests.
The vehicle accommodates up to 12 passengers and is wheelchair accessible. Infant and booster seats are available on request. Entrance tickets for all sites are purchased separately on arrival. A licensed English-speaking guide can be added for an additional fee; the driver provides historical commentary throughout.
