This 8-hour tour covers four distinct stops that together trace the core of Cretan food and craft culture. The day starts with a visit to a working olive mill set among olive groves, where you taste freshly pressed extra-virgin olive oil and learn how quality is assessed during production.
The next stop is a family-run organic winery, where a guided cellar tour leads into a tasting of five local labels. The wines are made from indigenous Cretan grape varieties, and the guide explains how the island's climate and soil shape each one. From there, the group moves to a traditional raki distillery. As well as tasting raki, you see the ancient stone wine presses still on site, and the guide covers the history of the spirit in Cretan culture.
Midway through the day, the group sits down for a full traditional lunch at a local tavern, including wine and water. The final stop is a pottery workshop in a village setting, where you can try working with clay and watch craftspeople demonstrate techniques that have been used in Crete for centuries.
Pickup runs from 08:30 to 09:30 from hotels and accommodation across a range of coastal and inland areas between Agia Pelagia and Sissi. Drop-off follows the same corridor between 16:30 and 17:30. Children under 5 join free. Alcohol is not served to guests under 18.
