The tour departs with a hotel pickup between 08:30 and 09:00 from locations along the north coast of Crete, from Agia Pelagia to Malia and Sissi. The first stop is a working olive mill, where a guide explains the full production process from harvest to bottling and guests taste extra virgin olive oil straight from the press.
From the mill, the route climbs to the Lasithi Plateau, a high-altitude agricultural plain ringed by mountains and dotted with traditional windmills. The windmill area is a scheduled photo stop with views across the plateau. Guests then choose between two mythology-focused experiences: exploring the Cave of Zeus — the site in Cretan tradition believed to be the birthplace of the god — or walking through a Minoan culture and mythology thematic park that recreates aspects of ancient Cretan rural life. Entry tickets to either are not included in the tour price.
The group visits the Panagia Kera Monastery, known for its well-preserved Byzantine frescoes and small on-site museum. Lunch is served at a local tavern selected by the guide, with traditional Cretan dishes, wine, and water included.
The day ends in Krasi village, where a plane tree estimated at around 2,000 years old stands in the village square alongside stone springs fed by Selena Mountain. Drop-off at accommodation is scheduled between 15:00 and 15:30. The tour runs daily from April through November with a maximum of eight guests, making it a small-group experience throughout.
